Celebrating the grace and beauty of mothers and daughters illustrating their love and harmony.
I want to express my belief in a world that is good and full of different mothers and daughters. The process of photographing each mother and daughter allowed me to see the beauty and connectedness of us all. For me, my artwork is a reflection of my relationship with my mother and a mirror into the future.
Growing up in a house during the 60′s I found myself affected by my older brother and sisters, the beauty I saw in nature and the music of the Beatles. I wanted to express my hopes and dreams for a creative future where others could feel joy and love in each other and by the world that was influencing them. I wanted to find a way to connect with God while growing as a person through my own creativity. I wanted to illustrate my ideas that came to me through the magazine photographs and the television shows that appeared during the times. For me my art was a reflection of myself and a mirror into the future.
